The Steve Kane Commie-Bama T-Shirt

Fort Lauderdale talk-show host Steve Kane is not a man without controversy.  Recently a witness in a Cooper City bank robbery where a Bank of America was robbed by a masked gunman, Kane is now hawking “The Steve Kane Commie-Bama T-Shirt.”

The high-quality 100% cotton t-shirt mocking President Barack Obama and his unconstitutional appointment of “czar’s” is locally made by Name That Tee.

“We support our sponsors and local business whenever possible,” said Lori Kane, president of Lori K Productions.  “In tough economic times each of us should support our neighbors and give back to the community.”

During his presidency, Barack Obama has made several decisions proving he has little regard for the U.S. Constitution or the rule of law.  At the top of the list is Obama’s penchant for installing radical leftists as czars without the constitutionally-mandated vetting and approval by the U.S. Senate.

These political appointees, called “czars,” are powerful and difficult to track.

A recent Judicial Watch investigation documented these unconstitutional “czar” appointments – approximately 45 to date – and detailed the control these czars have over government operations.

Among the report’s findings are:

  • Czar appointees have seized unprecedented control over major aspects of government policy and programs. In some instances, unconfirmed czars have authority, in seeming violation of the U.S. Constitution, over certain Senate-confirmed officers.
  • A number of the czars have been linked to scandals, thefts and kickbacks, flagrant and offensive statements, conflicts of interest, and radical leftist political ideologies and policies.

Barack Obama’s unconstitutional use of czars to help run his administration is at odds with Republicans, as well as limited and accountable government.  Obama has installed his allies in various positions of power while thumbing his nose at Congress and the American people.

As documented in the report, many of these czars have proven to be corrupt or radical and sometimes both.  No wonder the Obama administration fights tooth-and-nail to allow these czars to operate in secret. Thankfully, the Judicial Watch investigators managed to develop a comprehensive list of czars as part of their efforts to ensure government accountability

The new czars and their efforts within the Barack Obama administration is detailed within a new Judicial Watch special report entitled “President Obama’s Czars.”

Tropical Acres Restaurant Engulfed by Fire

Established in 1949, the Tropical Acres Steakhouse is closed as Broward Sheriff’s Office fire crews reported a fully engulfed blaze shortly after 4 o’clock Tuesday morning.

Dispatched to the landmark restaurant located at 2500 Griffin Road, Dania Beach, the business was closed at the time and no injuries were reported.  As a precaution, some area homes were evacuated.

Officials report that Griffin Road was closed in both directions from 23rd to 29th Avenue as a result of the blaze and fire crews at the scene.

“The fire was contained in the northwest section of the restaurant,” stated Neal de Jesus, BSO Fire Chief and Executive Director, who personally responded to the fire.  “Contrary to initial news reports, it appears that Tropical Acres will be able to rebuild.”

Barely 48 hours after a suspicious fire at Deerfield Beach watering hole Crabby Jack’s, Broward County has lost another popular eatery.  In this fire, more than 50 firefighters from three area agencies fought the flames for about an hour.

Crabby Jack’s had recently been on the losing end of an eviction action in the Broward County Court and was facing eminent removal.

No such legal action appears pending against Tropical Acres.

“You have to be kidding me,” said Steve Kane, host of the popular Steve Kane Show on AM 1470 WWNN.  “Tropical Acres is my personal favorite and has been for a number of years.”

Talk Show Host Steve Kane Never Far from the Action as Bank Robbed

Never far from the center of action was local radio talk show host Steve Kane as a masked gunman held up a busy Cooper City Bank of America branch shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

The gun-wielding robber walked into the branch located at 5504 South Flamingo Road and demanded money from a bank employee after jumping the counter.

No shots were fired and no one was hurt in the robbery, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The FBI declined to disclose how much money was stolen from the Bank of America branch.

The gunman – identified by customers as an African-American male – left the bank in a light blue Toyota Camry with a Florida license plate of S369YU.  According to the FBI, the Camry had been reported stolen on Wednesday.

A dye pack exploded inside the car, which would have stained the money, the car’s interior and, possibly, the robber’s skin and clothes, officials reported.

“It was a very scary experience,” said Steve Kane, host of The Steve Kane Show on AM 1470 WWNN.  “With $1,700.00 cash in hand and wearing an NYPD police hat, I thought better than to get involved.”

If anyone has information on the identity of this bank robber, they are urged to contact the FBI at 305-944-9101 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.  Remember, you can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00.
